Staff Changes

Laura Jensen Broe, BSR’s EPOM, transferred to a new position in NIA’s Workplace and Strategic Planning Branch effective December 19, 2011. Recruitment of a new EPOM is ongoing.

Josephine Egan, M.D., Senior Investigator, was recently appointed Clinical Director of the Clinical Research Branch, NIA, IRP. Dr. Egan has been acting in this role since 2010.

Susan M. Resnick, Ph.D., Senior Investigator, was appointed Chief, Laboratory of Behavioral Neuroscience, NIA, IRP. Dr. Resnick has been acting in this role since January 1, 2010 after the retirement of Dr. Paul T. Costa, Jr.

We welcome Dr. Kathy Perdue as the new Animal Program Director for the Comparative Medicine Section of the NIA/IRP. Dr. Perdue received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) from Washington State University and is a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM). She has been involved in the laboratory animal field for over 18 years, most recently at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Perdue joined the NIA in November, 2011.
