Staff Changes

Dr. Madhav Thambisetty, previous Staff Clinician, was recently recruited as an Investigator (Clinical) in the Laboratory of Behavioral Neuroscience. His appointment will be effective in August 2012.

Dr. Earl Jeffrey Metter, Medical Officer, Longitudinal Studies Section, Clinical Research Branch (CRB), NIA, retired in March 2012 after 36 years of federal service.

Dr. Joseph Rifkind, Research Chemist and Section Chief, Molecular Dynamics Section, NIA plans to retire September 30, 2012 and will return as a reemployed annuitant in October, 2012.

Dr. Charles Hesdorffer, Staff Clinician, Hematology/Immunology Unit, CRB, NIA resigned in July, 2012 and has accepted a position in the Department of Medicine at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Dr. Patrice Morin, Senior Investigator, Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Immunology, NIA resigned in August, 2012 and has accepted a position as the Director of the Grants Program at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).

Mr. Dennis Edgar joined BSR on July 1, 2012, as Extramural Program Office Manager. Dennis recently retired from the U.S. Air Force after 27 years of uniformed service, with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. His service included a tour of active duty in Iraq. He comes to us from his most recent assignment at the Pentagon, where he worked as the Travel Manager for the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
